Incoming Assistant Goovernor Rtn Phillip Chong meet PEs

Minute of Meeting on 20/2/2010

1. Meeting call to order by Incoming AG Rtn Phillip Chong at 1.50 pm at KK recreation Club, Annex room

Present : AG Alice Kunjun, IAG Phillip Chong, PE Micheal Tong, PE Ian Thow, PE Catherine Chang, PE Kent Chau, PE PP Mohamad Tahir, Rtn Forest Isreal, PE Alfred Sii

2. Apologies from PE Aaron Young not able to attend the meeting because he was outstation.

3. PE Alfred Sii volunteered to be secretary to record the meeting.

PE Catherine and PE Micheal Tong introduced themselves in the meeting.


4. All the PEs from the six clubs accept RC Penampang introduced themselves to the other PEs and IAG about their histories, hobbies and vocations. Incoming AG also introduced himself, being chairman for district membership, club CLP and his role as an assistant Governor, establish the format for club activities and the communication, visit the club group 14, one in three months, encourage the rotarian to attend district assembly and report to district Governor.

5. Welcoming remark from Incoming District Assistant Governor Rtn Phillip Chong, wishing all the PEs a Happy Chinese new year

6. On matters for discussion,

6.1 IAG presented to all the PEs a file folder with all the necessary information, forms and chest lists to start the rotary year.

District Goal

6.2 Pets/Assembly 2010 will be held in Johor Baru on 15/4 to 18/4. Strictly on training, no more official opening. The training will be more on workshop and discussion.

6.3. Club Leadership Plan. IAG encouraged PEs to get familiar with CLP and try to encourage the Sub committee chairman to attend the District Assembly.

6.6. District Governor Visit suggested 2 visit 3 clubs and 4 clubs respectively. Probably January 2011.

6.7 Interclub joint project propose 1. traffic safety campagn, 2. community service and 3 Vocational Award night.

6.8 Interclub games, RC KK will take the lead for the games more information lock in http://rckk-interclub.blogspot.com/2010/01/interclub-fellowship-2010-to-2o11-257.html. Incoming Ag Phillip also suggested to organise the golf game also and bring back the challenge trophy.

6.9 Ryla for youth, one will be organised in West malaysia, one in Kuching and one in Sabah to be headed by Kinabalu Sutera Rotary Club.

6.10. IAG encouraged the PEs to go to RI citations and District award Citation to be submit ed end of march end and end of February respectively.

AOB

1. PE PP Mohammad Tahir suggest to have a club secretary training in March.

2. IAG propose a planner which was very useful during his year as guideline for the club.

3. PE Alfred suggest and encourage all the PEs to set up a blog to correspond with on another and keep one another update. Will organise a workshop to the PEs probably during club secretary workshop.

4. AG Alice suggest to have a manual checklist for rotary calender and DG visit.

5. Next meeting will be on 27/3 lunch time at KK Recreational Club.
